Dr. Kylie Pottenger - Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Hello, I'm Dr. Kylie Pottenger, licensed psychologist and founder of A New Day Psychology. For over 16 years—with over 11 years as a licensed psychologist—I've dedicated my life to helping people navigate difficult seasons with compassion, expertise, and hope.

I believe therapy is about creating a safe space where you can finally feel seen, truly heard, and fully supported as you move toward healing and growth. We work as a team: my approach is client-centered and collaborative, meaning we use your strengths, understand your challenges together, and create a roadmap that helps you move from surviving to genuinely thriving in your life.

If you're reading this, you're likely at a place where you know you're ready for change. I'm here to tell you that true healing is possible, and it often begins simply by finding the right person to walk beside and help guide you. I'm honored that you are considering me to be a part of your journey. In our work together, you will find the healing, peace, and hope you long for.

    Clinical Trainings

I practice a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques (listed below). I have obtained extensive clinical training in diverse, evidence-based methods because I believe that you deserve a tailored approach and that one size does not fit all.

    My Advantages

    A Personal Connection

My professional path is also deeply personal. I am a survivor of infertility, pregnancy loss, postpartum anxiety, and traumatic birth. These experiences have shaped my heart as a therapist and fuel my commitment to provide a safe, empathetic environment for others facing similar struggles.

    High Quality

I am highly trained in various clinical modalities and have 16 years of clinical experience to help guide you through healing. In addition to my doctorate and clinical training, I hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International. This credential reflects advanced training, years of experience working with this population, ongoing continuing education in perinatal mental health, and passing an examination in evidence-based treatment methods for pregnant and postpartum individuals. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), along with a variety of therapeutic approaches (see below). These allow me to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs.

    Individual Approach

A great therapist combines art and science. My approach is tailored to your specific strengths and needs, built on the understanding that different modalities work best for different people. Since we are all unique, I pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches to blend the right combination that perfectly matches your circumstances. This is a truly collaborative approach between us, as you are the true expert on you.

    Strong Support

If you are going through a particularly challenging time, I maintain scheduling flexibility to offer additional sessions for support. For comprehensive care, and with your written consent, I am happy to collaborate with your outside providers (such as your primary care doctor, psychiatrist, or psychiatric NP or PA).

    Commitment to Privacy and Excellence

My client base often includes high-functioning professionals—such as healthcare workers, corporate leadership, attorneys, community leaders, etc., and their spouses or partners—who navigate intense careers and high-stakes personal lives. I understand the demand for absolute discretion, the pressure to perform, and the need for highly efficient, high-impact therapy. I am committed to providing the specialized and confidential support required to meet these unique challenges.
